Utility Piping Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install, repair and maintain chilled water, steam and condensate return, water, gas, sewers and other piping systems as related to the production and distribution of utilities.
  • Inspect joints, valves, pumps, boilers, and other utility mechanical system components to locate malfunctions, repair or replace as necessary.
  • Design, fabricate, join and/or repair equipment, piping and various types of metals and structures using oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs or replacement as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of the mechanical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, cooling towers and chillers.

Accounting Specialist

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks for Meal Plan and Cat Cash Offices.
  • Balance previous day’s deposits. Report and correct balancing errors.
  • Run reports to identify and verify all transactions done at workstations.
  • Reconcile campus meal plans and flex account systems daily, verifying that all sales transactions are posted correctly and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Reconcile office and website bursar sales with daily report from Bursar’s office. Identify discrepancies and make adjustments to correct them.
  • Prepare various other accounting related reports and spreadsheets for reconciliation purposes.
  • Assist customers; answer questions and provide information about meal plans, flex accounts and payment methods.
  • Receive checks, cash, bankcards or other negotiable instruments in payment for meal plans.
  • Process customer requests for account refunds and balance transfers.
  • Investigate and resolve account problems or disputes.
  • Oversee closing and balancing of each drawer daily.

Custodial Area Supervisor

  • Directs the work of custodians performing cleaning tasks.
  • Schedules work to meet normal requirements without interfering with building occupants or students.
