  • Coding all accounts payable documents
  • Ensuring all accounts payable requests have the required approval(s) and appropriate documentation
  • Data entry of all account’s payable invoices
  • Ensure timely processing and payment of invoices
  • Maintain all accounts payable files
  • Maintain scholarship disbursement files
  • Credit card statement reconciliation
  • Receipt donations as received
  • Make bank deposits
  • Assist with general office assistance as needed
  • Build and maintain relationships both internally and externally with vendors, staff, board of directors, media and community member

Requirements:

  • Associates degree from accredited college/university required or equivalent experience required
  • Experience in non-profit organizations preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills

Job Type: Full-time, Remote (this will remain a remote position)

Hours:  Schedules available for Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 8am - 7pm.

Training: 3 weeks onsite training, 9-5:30pm

Salary: $12.00/hr

Large Healthcare company seeking a full-time, Release of Information Specialist. Monday-Friday 8:30-5:30pm. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Position Summary:  

It is the role of the Release of Information Specialist to serve within the Health Information Management Administration Call Center.  The HIM Administration Call Center is responsible for telephone reception and facsimile requests of medical records for multiple Covenant Health facilities.  The use of proper customer service and phone etiquette is required.   Their primary responsibility is to assist the caller or requester with release of information regarding continuity of care and questions regarding health information.  These duties are associated with the responsibility to protect the medical record from improper release.  The specialist is expected to release the record to the requestor after validation of a proper authority.  The Release of Information Specialist is expected to respond to unlimited and unpredictable volumes of calls on a daily basis, 24 hours each day, while maintaining ROI accuracy.  Process accuracy is governed by HIPAA & HITECH Guidelines, State and Federal laws, and Covenant Health Policy and Procedures.  With a staffing requirement of seven days a week, 24 hour coverage, a limited number of ROI Specialists are given home access.

Minimum Education:

None specified.  Will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.  Preference may be given to individuals possessing an Associate’s degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience:

Some college preferred with experience in HIPAA and HITECH. Must be computer proficient. Must possess a desire to provide excellent customer service and have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess good decision-making skills and be able to work independently. Must be detail oriented, highly organized and capable of multi-tasking.

Licensure Requirement:

Registered Health Information Technician preferred, but not required.

This position is PRN, which means on an as needed basis. It will start out every day until May, then continue at around 8 hours per week. 

 

Position Summary:

Works with a team in order to assist the consumer during their time in the clinic. This job covers both medical records and front desk functions. The Consumer Relations Specialist will possess the knowledge to work in either of the support team positions whenever needed. This knowledge will be obtained through cross-training. Duties will include (but not limited to) maintaining consumer charts, registration, scheduling appointments, computer data entry, answering the telephone, collecting copays and deductibles, and assisting the consumer during their time in the clinic.

Minimum Education: High School graduate
